Wonder Woman is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins with a screenplay by Allan Heinberg; story provided by Heinberg, Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs.
I have been a Wonder Woman fan since I was a little girl even in my dreams I turn into Wonder Woman and fight evil lol I loved the movie the only thing we did not like was Trevor’s death my daughter was crying when he died but ready for the next one. Just finished watching the movie!!! Great great great!!!! Will be seeing it again. Those fight scenes were outrageous! Brought back childhood memories.
It was so very refreshing to see WW done so well. It was not catered to the male viewer. She was fierce and compassionate. I loved seeing g a female superhero character that wasn’t fierce because she was broken but because she was fighting for those who could not! Gal was perfect! She was equal parts beautiful, fierce, and compassionate! So much win! Thank you for portraying a female superhero that I can be proud of and let my girls look up to!
I think my only issue was with the time setting. And it’s not for the reason that others might have. I’m not a comics reader and it didn’t phase me that the comics had her emerge to the world in WWII. My regret is that since it’s during WWI, the friends she made will all be dead by the current time; meaning there’s little chance of any kind of reunion. Would’ve been nice to see her embrace them as old men.
I saw wonder woman on Thursday and though everyone gave it great reviews, I have to say I was left wanting. Gal Gadot is not a good fit, but we have her so we are stuck with her. Fine..then make a better script. The plot was fine but the script was just shy of OK. The beginning started very strong and had me entertained..Diana leaves her home and suddenly, I’m bored.
That’s a writing or direction issue. Her accent got in the way, A LOT. Wonder woman was kind and sweet at times…which isn’t who Wonder Woman was at all. In fact, Superman sometimes hinted many times that she had a certain disdain for humanity and a hard edge to her, basically she wasn’t very soft on the outside..you had to go deep…real deep. Gal Gadot wasn’t deep. Still, it was alright. I give it a 3 out of 5 Stars. I’m hoping this was a set up movie for a better sequel.
Saw this movie this afternoon with my 11 yr. old daughter. I will be back to see with my 9 yr. daughter old as I think it will be okay for her with me there. Worst part was the previews shown not always appropriate. It takes a lot for me to spend $ to see a movie on the big screen. This film is worth it! We just loved the way WW was willing to literally “take the fire” for those she was with. And there are sweet moments to balance out all the action. The scenes that take place on Paradise Island highlight women in a way never seen on film. My generation had Princess Leia, my daughters have Wonder Woman.
I like Wonder Woman the way she is every Saturday when I watch her. If I wanted to see a “Xena, Princess Warrior, type, id watch “Xena”. I’m old school and like Lynda Carter’s “Wonder Woman”.
Absolutely brilliant! They GOT her completely. Wonder Woman has been my favorite superhero ever since I can remember. Anyone who knows me for more than 5 minutes knows that I love this character. I cannot wait to share this movie with my niece when she gets a little older. I was so nervous when I first heard this movie was being made. Nervous and excited. I am SO happy that they knew the character, knew the source material (generations of it!) respected it and managed to make this amazing tribute to my favorite superhero ever! I hope that DC takes notes away from this and can continue to translate future DCU movies from the comics to the screen as brilliantly as they did here. Thank you.
This movie was my favorite super hero movie and one of my favorite movies of all times. I have collected Wonder Woman since 1986 and you did this iconic character and the love she has for the world proud. I have already seen it twice and probably will go back at least once more. Every single person who made this film what it is should feel nothing but pride. Thank you for being an amazing Wonder Woman.
